Our dogs

When my long time expected litter of smooth were born (first in saluki breeding history in the CZ), I wasn`t in the situation to keep a puppy. That`s why we came to agreemet with my friend Peter that Berushka will live with him. As she developed in the beautiful female, I hope she will become a mother of "C" litter of al-Quadar in summer 2012.

My interest in saluki pedigrees and need to get more information about this breed led my virtual ways among others to Canada. The breeder Lin Hawkyard, I knew so far only as a reputable name connected with beautiful dogs, agreed and I figured on her waiting list for planned litter maybe as the first one. It took another three years before the breeding was realized and I went to pick up my Kamal at the airport.

During years many people asked me for a help, for what I have a great regard. Some of them even compliment me with a challenge to find a suitable dog for them. Thanks to this I met Lukáš and one of my first "godchild" became Aisha. Although the female doesn't live with me, it is decided she become a dam of our „B“ litter.

Although I have been leaving to Belgium with a dream of a lightcoloured smooth female, I never regret that during my "au-pair duty" in a family of van der Lichte I earn black feathered male - Kuli. The half year spent in their house opened my eyes and I started even more intensively to watch the breeding trends. Kuli may didn't fulfilled my show handler's ambitions, but without that I wouldn't comprehend the relevance of coursing field.

About a year after Damra's death I finaly got my puppy. Gáta was, of course, strong personality, who brought me to the secrets of the breed. In 1995 I registred the kennel name al-Quadar (god's destiny in arabic) and bred my first litter (and last for long years). I have a strong feeling that I am obliged to Gáta for everithing. Salukis to wit started to affect even my non-kynological life. For example guided my steps to oriental restaurant where I met my later father of my son Sebastian. Gáta lived with us long 15 years.

First time I met salukis personally by friend of my father Mrs. Věra Sosnová. It was 1987, when we took home from her Damra. That time 7 y.o. female had to leave the pack of other dogs and became for few weeks a member of our family. Longer it wasn't possible. Due to long-lasting health problems she soon died. But still it was enough to catch my hearth with her gracious character reflected in her big eyes, by wich you have to forgive. It has been resolved…
